- Profile & location - the country, state and city/suburb you set, used to show you relevant local content. You can choose how precise this is.
- Content you create - posts, listings, business details, reviews, messages and anything else you submit.
- Usage & device data - basic technical information such as device type, browser and app interactions, used to keep the Service working and secure.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the Service - showing local posts, running the directory, delivering messages and notifications.
- To keep the community safe - preventing spam, abuse and fraud, and enforcing our Terms.
- To improve Gooreto - understanding what's useful so we can make it better.
- To contact you about your account or important changes to the Service.
3. How Your Information Is Shared
Content you choose to post publicly (such as listings, business details and reviews) is visible to other users. We do not sell your personal information. We share data only:
- With service providers who help us run the Service (for example, Google Firebase for hosting, database, authentication and storage), under appropriate safeguards.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of Gooreto and its users.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored using Google Firebase infrastructure. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Your Choices and Rights
- You can view and edit your profile information at any time in the app.
- You can delete your posts, and request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
- You can control notification preferences in the app.
6. Children
Gooreto is not intended for children under the age required by law in your country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
